I first learned about cracking nail polish from Thiamere's blog. And ever since I saw that post, I'd wanted to have one. I was so amazed with the "cracking thing". *grin* Trinoma is really far from where I live (I'm from the South), and I won't go there just to get that polish! *haha*
When my gwapo boyfriend got me those mood polishes from Claire's, my mind got preoccupied with these cool polishes, so I kinda forgot about me wanting those oh-so-amazing-nail-polish-can-you-see-it's-cracking. But not until last week. While I was checking the bazaar near the area where I work, I was surprised when I noticed that someone is selling the cracking nail polish, and so I got one! Yey! Finally! =)
Would you believe that I got the yellow one?
I used Elianto's Dark Purple as the base as I originally wanted a dark purple and yellow contrast. Imagine my surprise when it turned out green-ish! I did wait for the base polish to dry first before applying the cracking nail polish, but for some reason, it still reacted with purple. From grade school, we've learned that blue and yellow makes green, but purple and yellow? I don't know. *puzzled* Maybe it has to do with Elianto's Dark Purple formulation. If you've got some explanation, please let me know ok? =)
My reptilish nails...
The effect is really cool. It just can be off-putting for some who doesn't like reptile patterns. How about with a white base? I'll try that next time. It may not look as creepy as this one. What do you think? =)

Thanks for the link,sis!
